Last month, students, teachers, and community members gathered at the Parkdale Library for a debate on the topic of an IB Fee Strike. The event was sponsored by the West End Phoenix and moderated by editor Dave Bidini.

An audience vote at the end of the night determined that the pro-strike team had won and the committee is now determining its next steps.

If you have any questions, concerns, or ideas regarding the potential strike action, please reach out via the contact fee below or on Instagram @noibfees!

What is a Fee Strike?

A fee strike is a form of protest in which Parkdale parents would register their children in the Parkdale IB program but withhold payment, either until the final deadline (June 2020) or indefinitely.
